Leanne Pelosi

Leanne Pelosi is one of the busiest people in snowboarding. On top of being a rail-killer, she started and runs an all-girl snowboard camp, MGT Snowboard Camp in Whistler, and films stand out video parts every year. Though Leanne rides as well as the most seasoned pros, she actually got a late start in snowboarding. She did not go pro until after graduating from college, when she moved from Calgary to Whistler. Leanne actually spent her high school years training for her goal of being an Olympic soccer player.

But snowboarding was definitely a match, and Leanne’s familiarity with the top of the podium at rails jams, as well as her fearless and creative riding have earned her several accolades, including Rookie of the Year in ’04, Transworld Snowboarding’s Rider of the Year in ’05 and Snowboarder Magazine’s Female Rider of the Year in 2006.
