Smooth water set the stage for a stellar weekend of riding at stop number two of the Pro Wakeboard Tour in Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 10-11, 2006. Local fans on site were courteous and energetic, the nightlife was happening -- summertime in the land of 10,000 lakes was firing. The Junior Rip It JX series narrowed down to a battle between Acworth champion Adam Errington and his good riding buddy, Jimmy LaRiche. LaRiche's compact, toned frame helped him power through difficult moves and stylish rail slides for the win, hinting that the rest of the season will be a showdown between these two up-and-coming style masters.
One of wakeskating's most popular riders, Brian Grubb handled the wakeskating field with a crazy blend of consistent moves including a 360 shove-it and solid rail slides. Fresh off a pro men wakeboard victory at stop number one in Acworth, Andrew Adkison would have the chance to further his season-title lead with a number one seeded position and optimistic attitude. However, in round four, he would go down to the top gun, 2005 season title winner Danny Harf. Harf ended up facing his roommate Rusty "The Bone Crusher" Malinoski in the final, and sealed the deal after landing a cab 900 (switch-stance spin of 2 1/2 revolutions) off the double-up. Even without making it to the final round, Andrew Adkison remains in the lead for the season title after stop number two.
