Anthony Napolitan

Where do you begin with a bio for Dirt BMXer Anthony Napolitan? He's young. He's talented. He turned pro after winning his first amateur contest. He's constantly surrounded by girls. His bag of tricks is deeper than many more-experienced riders. He's living the dream. What more needs to be said? In competition, Napolitan is explosive. With tricks like his front flip no-hander, 360 double whips and big x-up turndowns, Napolitan is nearly unbeatable. And yet, he is almost always perfectly composed and mellow. He never stresses out and insists that he rides solely to have fun. When asked how he won the 2006 Dew Tour Champion Title Napolitan said, “I don’t even know. It’s crazy. I just went out to have fun.” Napolitan made a huge splash in 2006 when he won the first stop of the Dew Tour in Louisville. He placed 2nd in Denver and 3rd in Portland, but had a rough time in San Jose where he placed 9th. But, then he came back with a vengeance at the last stop of the Dew Tour in Orlando where he placed 1st and secured the overall Champion Title. He said, “I knew if I just stayed calm I’d do well. I’ve been working on new stuff, but I didn’t have to use it, so I guess I’ll save it for next year!” You can be sure many pros will be scared to see what this kid is capable of for years to come. --------
